- On the Netgear extender login page, you need to enter the Netgear extender default username and password in their respective fields.
Important Note: If you aren’t aware of the default username and password, check the user manual of the product.
- Now, head to the Advanced tab and click the Administration option.
- Under the Administration option, select the Firmware update option and click the Check button to look for the new updates.
- If any new update is available, click the Yes button to begin the upgrading process.
- You are required to follow the on-screen instructions to update your Netgear firmware to its latest version.
Finally, the latest version of the Netgear extender firmware is installed on your device.
If you don’t remember the username and password while updating the firmware of your extender and also forgot the answers to the security questions, then you are required to perform the Hard reset of your Netgear extender to gain access to the Netgear extender account.
