The art director oversees advertising artwork and print materials and film television commercials. He is the decision maker responsible for the quality of the finished product. They choose photographers, illustrators, models and whatever tools they need for advertising. If an advertisement is printed back from the printer imperfectly, the art director is responsible for reconnecting.
The art director must be able to perform the following tasks:
• The job description of the project manager includes responsibility for displaying advertisements and developing the concept.
• They can collectively decide on the concept of advertising.
• They decide what the advertisement is and what it says.
• They create rough designs using computers Country Director (CD)
. The layout shows you where the copy is, what fonts and colors are used, and what the image looks like.
• They use all the agency’s resources to produce personalized advertisements.
• They control a team of artists working on the rough design of the advertisement, filter it and compose it with a computer.
Conditions:
• The art director should start putting together a portfolio that is a collection of the best work.
• If they are college graduates, they must take courses in art, mechanical drawing or drawing and photography.
• May have attended post-secondary education, including a program in a two-year college, a four-year college or a special art school. Some two-year colleges offer basic courses in layout and gluing. The four-year college offers a master’s degree in fine arts.
• They must be admitted to art school, and candidates must usually submit a portfolio.
Many art schools around the country offer extensive training in graphic design, including courses in typography, design, design and photography.
