Spending time with infants, you instantly detect how quick learners they are. It’s not a new concept as the mind is in the developing stage and whatever feeds it, they instantly grasp it. The mysterious minds of young children, wandering around while learning and chattering seem like it’s moving very fast.

But how does it relate to the following article? Do the milestones for an early child development service have anything to do with the speed of learning in children? Yes, they do. Here we try and make aware of the importance of early childhood development programs and the different milestones they look to achieve.

There’s no denying that children must have the best developing environment to grow up the right way. They won’t stay infants for life and will have to handle the tough life coming their way. However, we also know that they are equipped with adequate grasping skills.

    • Starting to hold the body up with support (physical)
  • After 1 year
    • Shying away from talking to or blending with strangers (emotional and cognitive)
    • Partially starting to see mom and dad (communication and emotional)
    • Finding hidden toys are other items (cognitive and retention)
    • Taking a few steps with/without support (physical)
  • After 1 ½ year
    • Saying several words every now and then (cognitive and communication)
    • Pointing at something concerning him/her (cognitive and communication)
    • Initiating play with others (social and emotional)
    • Drinking in cups and eating with spoons (physical)
  • After two years
    • Conveying excitement about something (social and communication)
    • Imitating others and repeating sentences (cognitive and communication)
    • Differentiate between colors and shapes (physical and cognitive)
    • Able to walk, stand, throw and climb (physical)

As these are the four different when the child generally develops these skills, it has to be ordered from the external environment.
