West Michigan Hart High School Principal Troy Moran died of a heart attack after a morning run last week. The 46 year old leaves behind two young daughters Elle and Reagan.
After the news of Hart High School Principal Troy Moran’s death on Saturday many people including his students started to share their love and tributes. Hart Public Schools announced a half day for Thursday May 2nd so staff and students could attend the funeral of their beloved high school principal.
A campaign on GoFundMe was started to help Elle and Reagan after Hart High School Principal Troy Moran’s death. It received 40 donations and raised nearly $4000 out of the $15000 goal set by Cara Kriesel who organised the fundraiser. It was not clear if Troy had a wife or was ever married. The GoFundMe page described Hart High School Principal Troy Moran as an extraordinary person who touched many lives.
But most of all he leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Elle and Reagan who will now have to learn to live without their father. Elle and Reagan were the light of his life. He would go to the ends of the Earth for his daughters and they are now facing the unimaginable challenge of navigating life without the presence and support of their father, the page’s bio read.
As an administrator he was known for his strong leadership and ability to guide others. As a friend he was always there to lend a listening ear and offer support, the post said. The High School Girls’ Football Team also shared similar feelings. Several players gathered after a match and paid tribute to Hart High School Principal Troy Moran for “instilling a love of learning in his students” as a teacher.
A visitation before the funeral will take place on Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Shelby Road Baptist Church located at 4066 W Shelby Rd, Shelby, MI.
