The All Blacks have announced a 33-man squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France

The All Blacks coaches, Ian Foster, Jason Ryan, and Joe Schmidt, have revealed the All Blacks squad for the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France.

Former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw announced the 33-player squad in Napier this afternoon in front of nearly 2000 locals affected by cyclone Gabrielle and first responders.

The All Blacks have revealed their team for the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France.The squad consists of 18 forwards and 15 backs, with various positional breakdowns. Sam Cane will captain the team, and Samuel Whitelock will be going to his fourth tournament. Six players will participate in their third tournament, nine in their second, and 17 will experience their first World Cup. The squad has a total of 1493 Test caps, making it the most experienced Rugby World Cup squad in All Blacks history. The team’s average age is 27.

Head coach Ian Foster expressed excitement about the selection and emphasized the team’s readiness and motivation to represent New Zealand in the tournament. The All Blacks will be conducting pre-Rugby World Cup preparations in Napier, where they will also support the community impacted by cyclone Gabrielle.
