The co-prime numbers are considered to be the set of numbers or integers which will be having only one as the common factor. In very basic terms, this particular set of numbers means that the highest common factor will always be one. The coprime numbers are also known as the relatively prime numbers of mutually prime numbers and it is very much important for the kids to be clear about this particular aspect so that they can deal with things very efficiently.

Considering different kinds of the set of numbers is very much important and if they are not having any kind of positive integer that can divide both other than one then the pair of numbers will be considered as the co-prime.

Example: In the cases of 21 and 22 the factors of 21 will be 1, 3, 7 and 21 itself.

On the other hand in the case of 22, the factors will be 1, 2, 11 and 22 itself. Hence, in this particular case, there is no other number than one which is the common factor that is the main reason that these two numbers can be perfectly stated as the co-prime numbers.

On the other hand in the cases of 21 and 27, the common factors will be two, it will be one and three. Hence, this particular pair cannot be considered as the co-prime because it has more than one common factor.

Some of the very basic common properties of the co-prime numbers have been explained as follows so that kids have a good command of the concept very easily:

  1. One is the coprime number with every number
  2. Any two prime numbers are considered to be the coprime to each other because they will be having only two factors one and the number itself common between both of them. For example, two and three are prime numbers but they are also considered to be Coprime because the only common factor is one.
  3. Any two successive numbers or integers will also be co-prime. As an example in this particular case, people can consider 4 and 5, 5 and 6, 2 and 3, 3 and 4 and several other available options because all of them will be co-prime.
  4. The sum of any two co-prime numbers will always be the coprime with a product. The numbers 2 and 3 are the co-prime numbers and the sum is 5 but the product is 6. Hence, the product number and the sum number will always be coprime for example 5 and 6 or coprime with each other.
  5. Two even numbers can never form a coprime pair because they will be having a common factor as two in between both of them.
  6. If two numbers of the unit digit are 0 as well as five then they are not coprime to each other for example 10 and 15 or not coprime because they will be having the highest common factor of five and both of them will be divisible by 5 as well.

  1. The prime number is the one that has no other factor than one and the number itself and all the other hand coprime will be the pairs in which two numbers will be coprime and they will not be having common factors other than one. Hence, it is very much important for the kids to be clear about the basic concept of co-prime numbers so that they never get confused between prime and co-prime numbers in the whole process.

Apart from this, it is very much important for the kids to be clear about the concept of even numbers as well so that they can solve the questions very easily. Further registering the kids on platforms like Cuemath is the best way of ensuring that they can have proper access to top-notch quality education which will help in clarifying their doubts very easily.
