Sometimes PDF documents can be difficult to manage, since they are usually not as easy to edit as for example a Word or Pages document. Download and install:
In this case, the process to follow is very simple. You just have to download the PDFelement for Mac from the App Store. Afterwards, the installation will be as simple as dragging the application icon to your Mac’s applications folder. Once this is done, you can start using it. When you do this, the first thing you will see is the home screen, which shows all the functions that are available and that you can perform:
Edit PDF:
One of the most interesting functions that this tool has is to edit the PDF documents themselves. And it is that, just as if for example you have a Word document and you want to edit it, you can do it without any problem, the PDFs are intended more for read-only. However, with Wondershare PDFelement you will not have this problem, since you can add any PDF document and edit it easily from the tool itself, without using others. To make this part clear, here are the steps:
- Go to PDFelement and on the Home Window you will see “Open File”. Click on that and select the PDF file you want to edit. Drag and drop it to the home screen to open the file.
- Click “Text” in the tool bar to activate editing mode. If your PDF file is a scanned one or an image-based file then you need to perform the OCR feature before editing. In the editing process you can move the PDF text, modify it, or even add new text by clicking “Add Text”.
- Then it’s time to edit the image if necessary. Click the “Image” button on the left toolbar to activate image-editing mode. You can add an image by clicking “Add Image”, move it around with the drag&move function, or even crop it by clicking “Crop”. Very easy!
4. Want to annotate your PDF documents? Click the “Markup” button in the left menu bar and you will see several options. You can highlight text, add a sticky note, and play with your creativity using other annotation tools like “shapes”, “underline”, “stamp”, and many more.
- Finished editing? You can click “File” > “Export To” > “Word” in the toolbar. Again, if your file is still an image-based or scanned one, you need to enable the OCR feature. Then click “Save” and the conversion process will take a few seconds.
Create PDF:
In the event that, for example, you have a Word file, and you want to convert it to a PDF file, this is the option you should use. It is compatible with many types of files, and to use it, all you have to do is add the document you want and in just a few seconds it will generate its corresponding PDF file that you can use for whatever you want. Even if you wish, you can also edit it later with the PDF file editor, in case there is some kind of adjustment that for some reason has not turned out well in the PDF.
Convert PDF:
This is exactly the inverse option to which we have named before. On this occasion, what you can do is transfer a PDF document to one with another extension, such as DOCX, which would be to transfer it to a Microsoft Word document. In this way, you will be able to open it easily in case there is some kind of problem, or edit it with Word if you feel more comfortable with its editor. There are several formats available, so you can find the one that best suits your needs.
PDF Templates:
Another interesting option we have available is the possibility of downloading new templates to easily create PDF documents. With this option you can easily download all the ones you want, which will also be updated periodically.
Merge PDF:
Another option that PDFelement is going to give us is the possibility of joining several PDF documents into one, in order to avoid, for example, sending multiple documents that are going to take up a lot but are actually dealing with the same thing. You can choose any PDF that you have saved and add as many as you want. Then, in a few seconds, the new file will be generated that will include all of them.

Lastly, we have this option, which will allow us to use any of the previous options for several files at the same time. In this way, you will not have to do it one by one, but you will be able to select all the documents you want to carry out the process directly.
